Series one dates back to late 1967 and so the quality of some of the early shows, especially the first isn’t great, understandably, but still good enough to watch and enjoy. My favourite characters in Dad’s Army were Private Godfrey, Captain Mainwaring (“Main Wearing”) and Sergeant Wilson.

The actors do very well in their roles as the Dad's Army original actors and you can tell they studied mannerisms and quirks. The "baddie" was very obvious by half way through but that didn't spoil the rest of the film. A lovely nostalgic march-through at the end. If you're a fan of the TV series or like wartime nostalgia, you'll enjoy this.
